On September 8, 2024, two vehicles collided head-on in a Rancho San Diego intersection, California Highway Patrol investigators stated.
The crash occurred around 8:30 a.m. in the 1600 block of 1601 Mirage Court, which is located in the Rancho San Diego community. CHP Sgt. Mary Bailey said two vehicles collided at a two-way stop sign intersection (one driver had a stop sign, and the other had a through).
The driver of both vehicles, as well as an unknown number of occupants, were all transported to a local hospital for treatment. Sgt. Bailey said some of them were considered to be in serious condition. CHP troopers blocked the roadway as they investigated and cleaned up the scene.
